About Us

“XEUJI FOUNDATION”a section -8 company (Not for profit) named was registered on 23rd July 2020 to support in the sector of Eco-friendly Livelihood, Health, Education, clean energy and disaster management in the backward region including in the Char areas of the state and NE region. Of course, the organization has its mandate to work on PAN India basis. The organization is also registered under 12A (Exemption from income tax inclusion) and 80G (80G certification is a document issued by the Income Tax Department to certain not-for-profit organisations which allows their donors to avail tax deductions on donations).

The organization has initiated its operation in one of the most backward, under developed, flood prone block -Nayeralga falls under Char area of the district Dhubri, Assam since 2020. The literacy rate of the block is just 34.82% where male literacy is 38.11% and female literacy 31.3 % (Census 2011). The current population of the block is 1,22,863 with 63,193 males and 59,670 females respectively (Source: district Administration, 2022).

The school dropout, child marriage, teenage pregnancy, poor route and connectivity, poor infrastructures, lacked in scientific information, knowledge, highest level of exploitation (all kind) and least access of right and entitlements and services are the core development challenges.

The Foundation reached a geographical coverage of 31 revenue villages of 7 Gram Panchayat under the block Nayeralga since 2020. The foundation reached 12,500 households under the thematic area of agri and allied livelihoods, health, education and disaster responses.

Awareness Meeting

Major activities promoted under the thematic area Agri and allied are improved summer paddy cultivation, promotion of pulse and oilseeds, vegetable and nutri- gardening, Mushroom cultivation, supported in vet care of livestock, especially in deworming and vaccination of small ruminant and backyard poultry (BYP) and reached over 1000 households.

In the month November 2021, over 600 households were supported with various vegetable seeds to promote nutri-garden in collaborative support from NGO SeSTA of Bongaigaon. Over 20 women of the SHG groups promoted by ASRLM trained and supported on oyster mushroom cultivation. The foundation supported 12,500 households for covid 19 vaccine under APF (Azim Premji Foundation) funding support (January 2022 to 30th June 2022) in collaboration with Health block Raniganj of 31 revenue villages of the block Nayeralga. The core activities supporting SC/HWC/PHC on sensitization through awareness program in the villages, local hat, religious place by miking, village level meeting, micro planning with the staffs of CVC, Asha etc. Besides, the foundation also arranged additional vaccine camps with the support of two ANM recruited and two data entry operators with due permission from the concerned department of the state and district.

The organization also initiated working on adolescent girls below aged 18, over 197 girls were mobilised to attend awareness meeting on health and hygiene in June and July this year. Under the disaster and natural calamity, the organization supported 2700 mostly need and vulnerable households affected by flood in June 2022 with dry rations and hygiene kits with financial support from APF and Araghyam relief group.

Earlier, the organization also supported 102 covid19 affected poor, marginalized and vulnerable households with dry rations and hygiene kits in the month of June 2021 with financial support (in kind) from SeSTA. The organization also initiated coaching cum grade improvement support for the students who are from most backward and economically week families of class IX and X. The Foundation trained and groomed 60 community cadres. There are 3 regular contractual staffs and 7 part time staffs associated with the foundation so far. In the current financial year, organization also planned to extend its operation in two more block of the district (Mayamaya, Debitola).
